Sumner likes to celebrate rhubarb all year long.  However, if you really want to "stalk" the pie, join us for one of the many events that are the ingredients of the Rhubarb Pie Festival.

June 28-August 18, 2013

June 28  Music Off Main's Puyallup Valley Community Band, 6:30 pm, Rainier View Park
Swing to Big Band melodies and marches among the colorful mosaics of Sumner's newest park.   FREE!

June 30  23rd Annual Tour de Pierce Bicycle Ride, 7:30 am - 2:30 pm, Routes through Sumner
Pedal through Sumner and the valley, past farms growing rhubarb.  With 12, 30 and 50 mile routes, there's something for every level of rider.  Cost is $14 with preregistration or $18 on day of event.

July 5 Music Off Main's Andy Shofner Band, 6:30 pm, Heritage Park
Rock America's music with Sumner's own alternative/modern rock performer with a dash of country and Southern Rock. FREE!

July 20 Great American Picnic & Sports Challenge   11 am-6 pm, Daffodil Valley Sports Complex
Join in the fun as Sumner and the 593rd Brigade goes head to head with Puyallup and the 2-2 Stryker Brigade in vintage two-city rivalry of classic sports (and eating) competitions.  FREE!

July 20-August 11  The Music Man, Sumner Performing Arts Center
Nothing says Americana and Rhubarb Pie like Meredith Willson's classic musical that celebrates all things small town.  Whether it's River City or Sumner, it's small-town fun full of gossip, music, romance and intrigue. Tickets $10-$18.  Hosted by Manestage Theatre Company

July 26  Music Off Main’s The Coats, 6:30 pm, Heritage Park
Groove to the region's favorite vocal band.  They sang for the President of the United States, but they're still Washington's own.  FREE!

Take a swing against cancer while enjoying the most fun golf tournament ever, with rhubarb overtones, of course.
